Frequently Asked Questions

What countries does Virgin Wilderness Safaris operate in?

We operate across Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and the Seychelles, offering tailor-made safari experiences in each destination — as well as multi-country combinations.

What types of safaris do you offer?

We offer gorilla trekking, Great Migration safaris, honeymoon safaris, family safaris, bush-and-beach escapes, photography expeditions, walking safaris, and bespoke luxury journeys.

How do I book a safari with Virgin Wilderness Safaris?

Contact us via the inquiry form, email book@virginwildernesssafaris.com, phone +254 101 790 913 or WhatsApp. We will design a personalised itinerary based on your preferences and budget within 24 hours.

When is the best time to safari in East Africa?

It depends on what you want to see. The Great Migration is in the Maasai Mara from July to October and in the Serengeti from December to June. Gorilla trekking is good year-round but easier during the drier months (June–September and December–February). Most of East Africa offers excellent wildlife viewing in the dry seasons.

Is gorilla trekking safe and ethical?

Yes. Permits are limited and rules strict — gorilla families have been carefully habituated over many years, and groups are kept small. Following the guidelines (distance from gorillas, masks, no flash photography) protects both the gorillas and you.
