Cousine Island Resort is a lavish and exclusive getaway on Cousine Island, in the spectacular Seychelles. Although it is only 30 hectares big, it is packed with seven breeding species of sea birds (including fairy terns, wedge-tail shearwaters and lesser noddies), a growing population of highly endangered Seychelles magpie robins, hawksbill and green turtles, and about 80 huge and vocal Aldabra giant tortoises. While green turtles nest all year-round, your best chance of seeing seasonal hawksbills is between September and April.
It is not only the wildlife that is spectacular here: the rooms,
and cuisine are all to an extremely high standard, as befits a private island that can accommodate a maximum of 12 adults and six children across one presidential villa and four luxury villas. All have infinity pools, access to the sandy beach, air conditioning and an enticing combination of hand-carved furniture and upscale gadgetry. This is the only accommodation on the island available to guests, and can be booked on an exclusive-use basis.
Guided nature walks, yoga, snorkelling and treatments in the Ligne St Barth Spa are available, and the island’s conservation officer can tell you about the interesting history of Cousine Island’s past. For the more adventurous at heart, a range of diving, fishing, stand-up paddle boarding and day excursions are also offered. Offbeat activities include tree planting, Creole cooking lessons and caving while children will love treasure hunts, building sand castles, staging plays and fun science experiments.

There is equipment for volleyball, bowls, beach bats, swing ball, soccer, badminton, Frisbee, snorkelling, diving, kayaking and SUP.
