Day-by-day itinerary

DAY 1

Arrive in Arusha

Your adventure begins in Arusha, where a night at the elegant Hamerkop House eases you gently into the rhythm of East Africa ,a place to breathe, settle in, and let the anticipation build. The city hums quietly around you, but your eyes are already on the horizon.

DAY 2

Road transfer to Tarangire

From Arusha, you head into the wild heart of Tarangire National Park, where three nights at the intimate Mpingo Ridge Lodge await. Perched above a sweeping landscape of ancient baobabs and seasonal floodplains, this is a place that rewards those who slow down. Tarangire is often spoken of in hushed tones by those who know it best — its elephant herds are legendary, its birdsong relentless, and its atmosphere quietly untamed. Game drives here feel personal and unhurried, far from the well-worn paths of more crowded parks. You'll return each evening to the warmth of the lodge, sundowner in hand, as the light turns the plains to gold

DAY 3

Full day in Tarangire

Perched on an escarpment above the Tarangire River, Lemala Mpingo Ridge delivers sweeping views and the same outstanding comfort Lemala is known for. Below, one of Tanzania's most scenic parks unfolds — famous for its vast elephant herds, giant baobabs, and superb birdlife. Slightly off the main circuit, Tarangire feels refreshingly unhurried, and the game viewing is exceptional.

DAY 4

Full day in Tarangire

Another full day to explore the expansive Tarangire. Sundowners, early morning walks and game drives (and very special night time game drives) in new custom-designed 4×4 vehicles accompanied by Lemala’s highly knowledgeable and experienced guides are some of the activities guests can look forward to during their stay

DAY 5

Fly from Tarangire to Serengeti

Your light aircraft touches down in the southern Serengeti, and the scale of it all hits you immediately. Transferred to the elegant Lemala Kuria Hills Lodge, you'll settle in, enjoy a leisurely lunch, and take in the extraordinary views that surround you. As the afternoon cools, head out on your first game drive, the Serengeti rarely waits long before putting on a show. Return to camp as the stars begin to appear, with dinner under an open African sky.

DAY 6

Full day in the Serengeti

Rise early for a full day of exploration. Morning game drives in the Serengeti are something else entirely — the golden light, the stillness, the sense that anything could appear around the next bend. Back at the lodge for lunch and a restful midday break before heading out again in the late afternoon. For those wanting something a little different, a guided bush walk offers a chance to experience the ecosystem on foot, with your expert guide bringing the smaller details of the bush to life.

DAY 7

Full day in the Serengeti

Rise before dawn for a game drive, making the most of every last moment in this remarkable landscape. For the ultimate Serengeti experience, consider starting the day with a hot air balloon safari, drifting silently above the plains as the sun rises is something you will never forget.

DAY 8

Depart

On this day, after your last activity in the Serengeti, you will fly on scheduled shared flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will connect to your international flight back home ( OR- you can extend to Zanzibar for a Beach extension)
