SaSaab Camp

Set above the Uaso Nyiro River and overlooking the Samburu plains towards Mount Kenya, SaSaab Camp is a Moroccan-inspired tented camp situated in Kenya’s Samburu National Reserve, a conservation area well-known for its mix of classic savannah animals and some of northern Kenya’s more unusual species.

Go out on morning, afternoon and evening game drives as well as guided nature walks along the river. Back at camp, lounge on Moroccan-style cushions before a dip in the main swimming pool or in the privacy of your own plunge pool.

SaSaab runs several successful community and green projects that have helped it reap a clutch of awards, including a reusable water bottle initiative that has reduced its plastic waste by 85 percent, a recycling system and the ‘save a bucket’ concept that harvets guests’ cold, clean shower water for use in the thriving kitchen garden.

Back at Sasaab, unwind beside the main swimming pool before indulging in a beauty treatment in the privacy of your own tent.

At the end of the day, enjoy sundowner drinks from a rocky kopje, just a short distance from the camp or relax and enjoy the views from the lodge’s raised terrace.
